Landslide Hazard Zoning using Gamma Fuzzy Operator (A Case Study: Taleghan Watershed)
author
Abstract:
One of the slopping processes which creates tremendous damage in many locations of Iran and the world is landslide phenomenon. Creating a landslide susceptibility map provides the possibility to recognize susceptible areas and to verify them in the environmental programs. The purpose of this research is to map the susceptibility of landslide in Taleghan watershed by establishing informational layers and effective factors in the occurrence of landslide via gamma fuzzy operator. Input information set in assessment of potential hazardous landslide include nine factors: elevation, slope, aspect, geology, land use, vegetation density, and distance from road, distance form fault and drainage density. Landslide points of watershed have been converted to landslide areas using satellite images and level of correlation between each effective parameter in landslide occurrence and landslide areas was determined by the frequency ratio. Next, zoning maps of landslide were created using gamma fuzzy operator 0.7, 0.8 and 0.9. The result from the quality sum index showed that a gamma fuzzy operator with a value of 0.7 had a higher accuracy compared to the other two gamma fuzzy operators in making a landslide hazard susceptibility map in the study area.

Landslide Hazard Zoning Using Multivariate Linear Regression (Case Study: Kohsar Watershed)
The aim of this research was to generate a landslide hazard zoning map by using the multivariate linear regression method in the Kohsar Watershed, Northwest of Tehran. Initially, we used field surveys, local interview and review of studies outside and inside of Iran. Eleven effective factors were recognized on landslide. These factors included: slope degree, slope aspect, elevation, lithology, ...
full textLandslide hazard zonation using of model Shannon entropy(case study: Taleghan watershed)
Reviewing the damage caused by landslide proves the need to examine the factors influencing the occurrence of this phenomenon and the prediction of its occurrence. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to improve the prediction of landslide occurrence in the Taleghan watershed using Shannon Entropy Theory. Among the factors influencing the occurrence of landslide, ten factors of elevation, s...

Subalpine ecosystems are highly fragile as compared to biological andenvironmental factors. Landslide is one of the ruinous upshots of this ecosystem. One of theimpressionable areas in the cause of natural factor is Masoleh watershed in western AlborzMt, (Iran). In order to landslide hazard zonation, landslide index and frequency ratio methodbased on twelve causative factors such as slope, slop...
full textFlood hazard zoning using geographic information system (GIS) and HEC-RAS model (Case study: Rasht City)
Rivers are important water resources for human life, but sometimes cause irreparable damages. The flood plains are fertile terrains which are endangered by flood. Flood hazard mapping is one of the basic methods in flood fighting. In order to decline flood damages, the simulation of the hydraulic behavior of the rivers during flood occurrence is very important. In this study, areas that are flo...
