investigate the effect of short-term and long-term combined resistance (resistance-endurance) on some structural variables of the heart of young non-athletic men

Abstract:

Introduction and Objective: In general, regular physical exercise is associated with several unique structural adaptations, collectively referred to as the athletechr('39')s heart. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of short-term and long-term combined resistance (resistance-endurance) on some structural variables of the heart of young non-athletic men. Methodology: For the present semi-experimental research, 12 young non-athlete men from Saveh as a volunteer were selected as the sample. The research was conducted in such a way that ECO was first tested. Then, they did 4 weeks of exercises (resistance-endurance) and again they were given ECO, and for another 4 weeks, they did a combination program 3 times a week and for 45 to 60 minutes each session. Finally, Shapiro Wilkchr('39')s tests and variance analysis with repeated measurements were used to analyze the data. Results: Short-term and long-term combination training (resistance-endurance) has no significant effect on left ventricular diastolic end diameter (p=0/398), left ventricular systolic end diameter (p=0/48), aortic diameter aortic root diameter (p=0/756)، transverse right ventricular diameter (p=0/997) and ventricular septal thickness (p=0/759) between young non-athletes. Conclusion: According to the research findings, the pressure of the exercises in the research protocol was probably not enough to cause significant structural changes in the subjects, so it is suggested that more research be done in this field.
