Abstract:

Introduction: Using Spiritual Spacing in Exams makes students feel calm and feel spiritual, and combine science and spirituality to provide a model to the world of university missions. The purpose of this study was to explain the views and experiences of students and examiners on the spiritualization of the exams’ atmosphere. Methods: This study was performed in quantitative (semi-experimental) and qualitative (conventional content analysis) applications in Golestan University of Medical Sciences in 1394 or using objective sampling for 67 students and examiners. The intervention included the broadcast of Al-Ashrafi verse for 2 minutes each day, the installation of posters containing the relaxation claim and the weekly notes on the walls of the exams hall for three weeks in two semesters during the examinations. At the end of the study, the views and experiences of 50 students and 17 examiners who had experience in the field of intervention were interviewed through a semi-structured interview and analyzed by content analysis. Results: The main theme of this study was “evolution in test conditions” with three sub-themes “relaxation”, “healthy exercise environment” and “focus”. Participants described the session space this year differently from last year. They believed that they experienced a certain calm, which prevented the cheating from being tried. The sense of reliance on God prevented distraction and good performance. Conclusion: The findings of this study showed that the intervention of the exams’ atmosphere caused a change in the conditions and the test space. Relaxation, concentration of senses, and a healthy environment were the consequences of the spiritualization of the exams’ atmosphere. Implementing such an approach is recommended in the student exams space.
