Evaluation of slope stability in static and pseudo-static earth dam using software Gio Studio and Plaxis (Case Study dam Kaboodval)

Abstract:

The seepage and slope stability are very important and necessary in the dam dirt are, therefore, in this context, numerous applications to predict and calculate the rate of leakage has been prepared that than the experimental time and cost savings for the analysis of liquids before construction of earth dams need. In this study, safety factors for slope stability software Kaboodwal  plaxis two-dimensional dam during and end of construction, filling, fast and slow decline in the tank and the tank was half full review. Using software Plaxis upstream and downstream slope stability was obtained for the various stages of construction. The results indicate dam slope stability in various stages of construction and above all in the end stage of construction. Generally, analysis, appropriate behavior dam structures against static and quasi-static loading conditions the authors write. Confidence by increasing the height of embankments have reduced in the last stage of the embankment number is 498/1. By comparing the results at the end of the build confidence slope stability criteria Army Corps of Engineers ensured America. Evaluation of slope stability, slope instability upstream near the tank shows that the need for concrete in this area is evident. And the efficiency of the method and software used to model the behavior of embankment dam during construction is suitable.
