Abstract:

Introduction: Academic buoyancy is one of the effective variables in the field of education and learning environment of students. Therefore, the aim of this study was to design a model of academic buoyancy based on life expectancy mediated by happiness in female high school students in Hamadan. Method: The research method was correlational and structural equations. The statistical population included all female high school students in Hamadan. The statistical sample was selected based on the number of items used in the questionnaires with a volume of 370 people by multi-stage cluster sampling. Academic buoyancy scale (Hossein Chari and Dehghani Zadeh, 2012), life expectancy questionnaire (Halajian, 2010) and Oxford happiness questionnaire (Argyl et al., 1989) were used to collect data. Structural equation Model in PLS-3 software was used to analyze the data. Results: The results showed that life expectancy has a direct and positive effect on academic buoyancy (β = 0.36, p <0.01) and happiness (β = 0.46, p <0.01). Happiness also has a direct and significant effect on academic buoyancy (β = 0.34, p <0.01). Happiness also has a significant mediating role in the relationship between life expectancy and academic buoyancy (β = 16, p <0.01). Discussion: Since life expectancy creates a more positive atmosphere, it can be effective in increasing the feeling of happiness, and happiness causes a feeling of vitality in the educational environment, followed by an increase in academic buoyancy.
