Comparison of the dimensions of personality and character and executive functions in patients with type 2 diabetic retinopathy and normal people in Tabriz city

Abstract Background and Aim: Over the past few decades, there has been a dramatic increase in clinical research with the aim of investigating the underlying mechanisms of type 2 diabetic retinopathy disorder. The aim of this study was to compare active memory, inhibition of response, and the dimensions of nature and character in type 2 diabetic retinopathy and normal individuals in Tabriz. Materials and Methods: This study was a comparative study. The statistical population of this study was all diabetic patients with retinopathy of type 2 in Tabriz in 1397. In this study, 80 patients with type 2 diabetic retinopathy and 80 normal individuals were selected. In addition to the questionnaire of the nature and nature of the questionnaire, work memory and inhibition of response were answered. . Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and multivariate analysis of variance using SPSS software version 21. Results: Data analysis showed that there was a significant difference between the scores of type 2 diabetic retinopathy patients and normal people in active memory, inhibition of response and dimensions of personality and personality. This means that in the memory and inhibition, the response of the normal group is better than that of type II retinopathy patients. Also, in terms of novelty, perseverance, collaboration and self-leadership, the normal group function is better than type II retinopathy (P <./ .1), but in the vulnerability component of retinopathy patients, they had higher scores than normal ones (P <./ 1). There was no significant difference between the two groups in reward, dependency and self-infirmity component (P> 0. 5). Conclusion: According to the results of this study, it can be concluded that diabetic retinopathy patients are more passive and memory-minded than their counterparts and have less inhibition and less stressful behaviors.
