COMPARISON OF EVALUATION OF PATIENT SAFETY ASSESSMENT INDICATORS IN SPECIAL SECTIONS HOSPITALS PRIVATE AND EDUCATIONAL AHVAZ UNIVERSITY OF MEDICAL SCIENCES IN 2019

Background & Aims: One of the most important issues in the health care system is the observance of patient safety indicators, especially in special sections. In this regard, the evaluation of patient safety assessment in Special care wards as an issue It is always important. Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the evaluation of patient safety assessment indicators in the special wards of private and educational hospitals of Ahwaz University of Medical Sciences in 2019. Materials & Methods: The present study was descriptive-comparative. The statistical population included all nurses in the morning, evening and night shifts in the intensive care units of private and educational hospitals of Ahwaz University of Medical Sciences 230 nurses randomly Targeted census were examined. To collect research data the standard questionnaire of patient safety indicators was used. After collecting data, the research data were analyzed using statistical tests of Mann-Whitneychr('39')s U-analysis in statistical software 19 SPSS. Results: The results showed that there was a significant difference between the mean index of drug measures, nursing care, patient injury during care, patient identification, patient decline, patient-to-patient training, diagnostic-therapeutic methods, infection control, and blood transfusion. Ayman exists in the special wards of private and educational hospitals of Ahwaz University of Medical Sciences. Conclusion: Patient safety assessment indicators in the special wards of educational hospitals of Ahwaz University of Medical Sciences are better observed compared to private hospitals.
