Bayes Estimation for a Simple Step-stress Model with Type-I Censored Data from the Geometric Distribution
Authors
Abstract:
This paper focuses on a Bayes inference model for a simple step-stress life test using Type-I censored sample in a discrete set-up. Assuming the failure times at each stress level are geometrically distributed, the Bayes estimation problem of the parameters of interest is investigated in the both of point and interval approaches. To derive the Bayesian point estimators, some various balanced loss functions are used. Furthermore, a simulation study and sensitivity analysis is performed to carry out the performance of the results of the paper. An example is also presented to illustrate the proposed procedure. Finally, some conclusions are stated.

Optimal Simple Step-Stress Plan for Type-I Censored Data from Geometric Distribution
Abstract. A simple step-stress accelerated life testing plan is considered when the failure times in each level of stress are geometrically distributed under Type-I censoring. The problem of choosing the optimal plan is investigated using the asymptotic variance-optimality as well as determinant-optimality and probability-optimality criteria. To illustrate the results of the paper, an example i...
full textEstimation in Simple Step-Stress Model for the Marshall-Olkin Generalized Exponential Distribution under Type-I Censoring
This paper considers the simple step-stress model from the Marshall-Olkin generalized exponential distribution when there is time constraint on the duration of the experiment. The maximum likelihood equations for estimating the parameters assuming a cumulative exposure model with lifetimes as the distributed Marshall Olkin generalized exponential are derived. The likelihood equations do not lea...
full textClassic and Bayes Shrinkage Estimation in Rayleigh Distribution Using a Point Guess Based on Censored Data
Introduction In classical methods of statistics, the parameter of interest is estimated based on a random sample using natural estimators such as maximum likelihood or unbiased estimators (sample information). In practice, the researcher has a prior information about the parameter in the form of a point guess value. Information in the guess value is called as nonsample information. Thomp...
full textBayes Interval Estimation on the Parameters of the Weibull Distribution for Complete and Censored Tests
A method for constructing confidence intervals on parameters of a continuous probability distribution is developed in this paper. The objective is to present a model for an uncertainty represented by parameters of a probability density function. As an application, confidence intervals for the two parameters of the Weibull distribution along with their joint confidence interval are derived. The...
full textInterval Estimation for the Exponential Distribution under Progressive Type-II Censored Step-Stress Accelerated Life-Testing Model Based on Fisher Information
This paper, determines the confidence interval using the Fisher information under progressive type-II censoring for the k-step exponential step-stress accelerated life testing. We study the performance of these confidence intervals. Finally an example is given to illustrate the proposed procedures.
full textComparison of three Estimation Procedures for Weibull Distribution based on Progressive Type II Right Censored Data
In this paper, based on the progressive type II right censored data, we consider estimates of MLE and AMLE of scale and shape parameters of weibull distribution. Also a new type of parameter estimation, named inverse estimation, is introdued for both shape and scale parameters of weibull distribution which is used from order statistics properties in it. We use simulations and study the biases a...
