Assessing and Prioritizing the Factors Affecting the Patient's Trust in the Physician from the Point of View of Experts in Ilam University of Medical Sciences in 2018 with the Combined Approach of DEMATEL and ANP

Introduction and Aim: The doctor-patient relationship is built largely on trust. It is in the shadow of trust that the patient can safely transfer all necessary information to the physician, which makes it possible to diagnose and treat medical treatment. The aim of the present study is to identify, prioritize and determine the causal relationships of factors affecting the patient's confidence in the physician. Methods: The present study is applied in terms of purpose, and is descriptive-survey in terms of data collection. The statistical population is the experts who were selected by snowball sampling method. The Dematel method is used to determine the relationships and the ANP method is used to prioritize the criteria. Results: The results of this study showed that in the main criteria of the factors related to the physician in his/ her self with a normal weight of 0.422, has the highest priority and according to the sub criteria, the patient's knowledge of the skills and experience of a physician in the first priority has it. Also the factors related to the patient in his or he self-have the most impact and the factors related to the patient on the other side has the most impact. Conclusion: The criteria of faith, duty, competence and mastery of the doctor, accountability and predictability of the physician, and the observance of ethics by the physician are factors that have the greatest impact on the patient's trust in the physician and the consideration of these factors can play an important role in promoting trust the patient to the doctor.
