Analysis of effective barriers on sustainable performance of Iranian football industry

 The purpose of this study isanalysis of effective barriers on sustainable performance of Iranian football industry. Considering the exploratory nature of the research, qualitative research method was used to identify the most important related factors to the research topic. For this purpose, the semi-structured interview was conducted with 28 experts. considering use of the data based method, the research sample was selected as a combination of theoretical sampling method and snowball sampling. The results of the research identified 53 barriers in 7 sectors which affect performance of the Iranian football industry. These are including sports and technology, infrastructure and equipment, revenue and business, media broadcasting and support, legal and regulatory, policy and organizational, managerial and human resources. In order to have a sustainable performance in sport and income and business sectors, special attention should be paid to eliminate the above barriers. In addition, the findings of research showed that in order to overcome these obstacles, a series of actions should be taken by internal and external agents such as managers in the institutions of the country's football industry and the Ministry of Sports and Youth and Islamic Consultative Assembly and other relevant institutions.
