A Study on the Social Trust and its Influencing Factors among Female Students in Ilam Universities

Abstract:

The present study intends to investigate social trust among the female students of Ilam universities. The first and the main question of the research were to examine the extent of social trust among female students at Ilam universities, and to figure out the factors which can influence their social trust. The survey was adopted as a main method of research. Based on  statistical sampling, from the total number of 4609 female students at Ilam university and Islamic Azad university in the city of Ilam, 377 students were randomly selected. A researcher-made questionnaire with approved validity and reliability was administered as an instrument for data collection. The results are as follow: among the independent variables, social security variables (/158), altruism (/155) and declared interaction (/143) totally played 45/6 percent of important role in the trust variable. A major achievement of the research is that it reconfirms its theoretical hypothesises  in the given society.
