Abstract:

Introduction: The accurate and proper planning in the field of nursing education in creating the capability and acquiring the necessary skills in the students of this field includes an important part of nursing education. However the acquisition of sufficient training because of technical and ethical reasons is challenging, Several methods have been used to teaching. Using simulation is one of the new methods in nursing education. The aim of this study was to explore the experiences of blindness simulation among a group of nursing students. Methods: This qualitative study was performed by conventional content analysis in the school of Nursing and Midwifery from April to July 2019 in Tehran, Iran. A total of 14 semi structured interviews and 2 focus group interviews were conducted by purposive sampling of the nursing students. Data collecting was continued until saturating data. Interviews were done for 45 to 60 minutes. Data analysis was performed by Graneheim and Lundman  method. We tried to analyze qualitative data based on valid criteria. Results: The first stage of data analysis revealed 231 initial codes. The ongoing process of analysis, comparison, and reductions resulted in a final number of two main themes with 7 subthemes were identified in this study including: Earn a new perspective and transforming care in the shadow of the experience. Conclusion:  Based on the results of this study, the use of simulation training is an effective way of teaching and evaluating the amount of knowledge and skills necessary for the blindness for nursing students. Using this method of teaching is recommended to all nursing students Training in patient care.

A Comparison between New Estimation and variable Selectiion method in Regression models by Using Simulation

In this paper some new methods whitch very recently have been introduced for parameter estimation and variable selection in regression models are reviewd. Furthermore , we simulate several models in order to evaluate the performance of these methods under diffrent situation. At last we compare the performance of these methods with that of the regular traditional variable selection methods such ...

Simulation of flow pattern in intake by using a numerical model

Lateral intake is a structure constructed next to a main channel to divert part of the flow within the channel. The separated area of the flow in the entrance of intake channel has no effect on flow discharge while reduces the effective cross-sectional area of the intake, as well as the bed load, which enters the intake due to low velocity flow deposits in this area. Thus, knowing the dimension...

Computer Simulation of Current Transformers Using a New Steel-Iron Core Magnetization Model

This paper is concerned with development of a technique for performance prediction of current transformers (CT), accurately. In this technique, a new optimized model from view-point of both computation time and memory is introduced in order to simulate the current transformers on digital computers. The introduced software in this paper in combination with relay tester equipments can be used ins...
