Abstract:

In a previous work, we introduced particular fuzzy numbers anddiscussed some of their properties. In this paper we use the comparison methodintroduced by Dorohonceanu and Marin[5] to compare between these fuzzynumbers.

Extend a ranking method of trapezoidal fuzzy numbers to all fuzzy numbers by a weighting functions

Recently Abbasbandy and Hajjari (Computers and Mathematics with Applications57 (2009) 413-419) have introduced a ranking method for the trapezoidalfuzzy numbers. This paper extends theirs method to all fuzzy numbers, which uses from a defuzzication of fuzzy numbers and a general weightingfunction. Extended method is interesting for ranking all fuzzy numbers, and itcan be applied for solving and ...

A new method for ordering triangular fuzzy numbers

Ranking fuzzy numbers plays a very important role in linguistic decision making and other fuzzy application systems. In spite of many ranking methods, no one can rank fuzzy numbers with human intuition consistently in all cases. Shortcoming are found in some of the convenient methods for ranking triangular fuzzy numbers such as the coefficient of variation (CV index), distance between fuzzy set...

A novel parametric ranking method for intuitionistic fuzzy numbers

Since the inception of intuitionistic fuzzy sets in 1986, many authors have proposed different methods for ranking intuitionistic fuzzy numbers (IFNs). How ever, due to the complexity of the problem, a method which gives a satisfactory result to all situations is a challenging task. Most of them contained some shortcomings, such as requirement of complicated calculations, inconsistency with hum...

Calculator for Fuzzy Numbers

‎This paper has been discussed and reviewed two R packages FuzzyNumbers and Calculator.LR.FNs‎. ‎These packages have the ability of installation on R software‎, ‎and in fact they propose some useful instruments and functions to the users for draw and easily using arithmetic operators on LR fuzzy numbers‎. ‎For the convenience of the readers‎, ‎the proposed methods and functions have been presen...

FUZZY RISK ANALYSIS BASED ON A NEW METHOD FOR RANKING GENERALIZED FUZZY NUMBERS

Fuzzy risk analysis, as a powerful tool to address uncertain information, can provide an appropriate method for risk analysis. However, the previous fuzzy risk analysis methods still have some weaknesses. To overcome the weaknesses of existing fuzzy risk analysis methods, a novel method for ranking generalized fuzzy numbers is proposed for addressing fuzzy risk analysis problems. In the propose...
