مروری بر نقش حمایت اجتماعی در پیش بینی بازگشت به اعتیاد

Addiction is a mental, medical, and social problem of the current decade that impinges physical, emotional, and social aspects of an addict’s life. It negatively affects society and related families alike. It seems that social support for related families leads to better adaptation and faster healthy conditions on the part of the addicts. A high rate of addiction relapse is now a national challenge and a major cause of most faliures in treatment of addiction, and the high number of addicts at any given time. The aim of this study is to review the role of social support in predicting addiction relapse. Methodologically, the current study is a review, and attempt has been made in order to use as much resources as possible using appropriate key terms. By and large, it can be said that social support plays a considerable role in preventing addiction relapse in clients with addiction who are uder treatment. With improving social support in general and ameliorating methods and techniques for strengthening quality and quantity of social support in particular, one might argue that it would be possible to prevent addiction relapses to a great extent.
