A simple method for the induction of topical laryngo-tracheo-bronchial anesthesia.

چکیده
I y the past we have perfor~iiecl cliagnostic bronchoscopy on a group of paraplegic patients in whom the induction of topical anesthesia in the usual way was clifficult. For these patients, a method of applying local anesthesia mas developed which was so effective and silnple that i t has become our prcferred technique in the preparation of all adult patients for endoscopy or hronchography. Anesthetization can be done very quickly and effectively. *This method has been used approximately 150 times with no major or minor complications.
