Environmental neurotoxicity in humans: principles of diagnosis, effects and selected case examples.

Many potential neurotoxins exist and are classified (1-7) as: 1) pharmaceutical agents, 2) biological agents, 3) radiation and electricity, 4) heavy metals, 5) solvents and vapors, 6) insecticides, herbicides, fungicides, and rodenticides, 7) air pollution, 8) food additives, 9) social poisons.
