Octonionic Ternary Gauge Field Theories Revisited
نویسنده
چکیده
An octonionic ternary gauge field theory is explicitly constructed based on a ternary-bracket defined earlier by Yamazaki. The ternary infinitesimal gauge transformations do obey the key closure relations [δ1, δ2] = δ3. An invariant action for the octonionic-valued gauge fields is displayed after solving the previous problems in formulating a non-associative octonionic ternary gauge field theory.

Seven Dimensional Octonionic Yang-Mills Instanton and its Extension to an Heterotic String Soliton
We construct an octonionic instanton solution to the seven dimensional YangMills theory based on the exceptional gauge group G2 which is the automorphism group of the division algebra of octonions. This octonionic instanton has an extension to a solitonic solution of the low energy effective theory of the heterotic string that preserves two of the sixteen supersymmetries and hence corresponds t...
متن کاملAn Octonionic Gauge Theory
The nonassociativity of the octonion algebra necessitates a bimodule representation, in which each element is represented by a left and a right multiplier. This representation can then be used to generate gauge transformations for the purpose of constructing a field theory symmetric under a gauged octonion algebra, the nonassociativity of which appears as a failure of the representation to clos...
متن کاملChiral gauge theories revisited
A characteristic feature of the electroweak interactions is that the leftand righthanded components of the fermion fields do not couple to the gauge fields in the same way. The term chiral gauge theory is reserved for field theories of this type, while all other gauge theories (such as QCD) are referred to as vector-like, since the gauge fields only couple to vector currents in this case. At fi...

In this review we present the octonionic duality for membranes. We start with a discussion on the relation of the Yang Mills theories and the supermembrane Hamil-tonian in the light-cone gauge. We further derive the self-duality equations for the membranes and discuss the integrability of the system in 7 and 3 dimensions. Finally , we present classical Euclidean time solutions of these equation...

Quenched reduction is revisited from the modern viewpoint of field-orbifolding. Fermions are included and it is shown how the old problem of preserving anomalies and field topology after reduction is solved with the help of the overlap construction.
