Content Analysis and Streaming of Educational Videos for Mobile Learning

With the popularity of e-learning systems and wireless networks, there is an increasing demand on transmitting educational videos through dynamically changing wireless networks to mobile devices. We develop a system for content analysis and transmission of educational videos to accommodate the dynamic change of network bandwidths, different QoS requirements of users, and the variety of mobile devices. We demonstrate the system on real-time content analysis, scalable coding, and adaptive transmission of educational videos through 802.11b wireless networks to PDAs.
