چکیده

Set constraints are inclusion relations between expressions denoting sets of ground terms over a ranked alphabet They are the main ingredient in set based program analysis In this paper we describe a constraint logic programming language clp sc over set constraints in the style of Ja ar and Lassez The language subsumes ordinary logic programs over an Herbrand domain We give an e cient uni cation algo rithm and operational declarative and xpoint semantics We show how the language can be applied in set based program analysis by deriving ex plicitly the monadic approximation of the collecting semantics of Heintze and Ja ar

Nurse rostering using fuzzy logic: A case study

In this paper, we used the fuzzy set theory for modeling flexible constraints and uncertain data in nurse scheduling problems and proposed a fuzzy linear model for nurse rostering problems. The developed model can produce rosters that satisfy hospital objectives, ward requirements and staff preferences by satisfying their requests as much as possible. Fuzzy sets are used for modeling demands of...

A New Method for Solving the Fully Interval Bilevel Linear Programming Problem with Equal Constraints

Most research on bilevel linear programming problem  is focused on its deterministic form, in which the coefficients and decision variables in the objective functions and constraints are assumed to be crisp. In fact, due to inaccurate information, it is difficult to know exactly values of coefficients that used to construct a bilevel model. The interval set theory is suitable for describing and...

Study on multi-objective nonlinear programming in optimization of the rough interval constraints

This paper deals with multi- objective nonlinear programming problem having rough intervals in the constraints. The problem is approached by taking maximum value range and minimum value range inequalities as constraints conditions, reduces it into two classical multi-objective nonlinear programming problems, called lower and upper approximation problems.  All of the lower and upper approximatio...

Fuzzy Real-Time Optimization of the Tennessee Eastman Challenge Process

A Real-Time Optimization (RTO) strategy incorporating the fuzzy sets theory is developed, where the problem constraints obtained from process considerations are treated in fuzzy environment. Furthermore, the objective function is penalized by a fuzzified form of the key process constraints. To enable using conventional optimization techniques, the resulting fuzzy optimization problem is the...

Workshop on Nonmonotonic Reasoning, Answer Set Programming and Constraints

Logic Programming with Set Constraints V.W. Marek and J.B. Remmel We generalize the set constraints of the form kXl present in the current implementation of smodels ASP solver to the situation where the constraints are arbitrary families of subsets of a given finite set. It turns out that the Niemela-Simons-Soinanen construction of stable models smoothly generalizes to that context. The model t...
