Single-photon time-dependent spectra in coupled cavity arrays

چکیده
We show how the input–output formalism for cascaded quantum systems combined with the quantum trajectory approach yields a compact and physically intuitive description of single photons propagating through a coupled cavity array. As a new application, we obtain the time-dependent spectrum of such a single photon, which directly reflects the fact that only certain frequency components of single-photon wavepackets are trapped inside the cavities and hence are delayed in time. We include in our description the actual generation of the single photon, by assuming we have a single emitter in one of the resonators. © 2013 Optical Society of America OCIS codes: (270.0270) Quantum optics; (270.5565) Quantum communications; (270.5585) Quantum information and processing; (060.0060) Fiber optics and optical communications; (210.0210) Optical data storage. http://dx.doi.org/10.1364/JOSAB.30.002640

Coherent Transport of Single Photon in a Quantum Super-cavity with Mirrors Composed of Λ-Type Three-level Atomic Ensembles
In this paper, we study the coherent transport of single photon in a coupled resonator waveguide (CRW) where two threelevel Λ-type atomic ensembles are embedded in two separate cavities. We show that it is possible to control the photon transmission and reflection coefficients by using classical control fields. In particular, we find that the total photon transmission and reflection are achieva...
متن کاملAll-optical control of three-photon spectra and time asymmetry in a strongly coupled cavity polariton system.
Manipulating the nature of photons emission is one of the basic tasks in quantum optics and photonics. The ever growing list of quantum applications requires a robust means of controlling the strongly coupled coherent interaction of photons and matter. Here, we investigate three-photon transmission spectra in a strongly coupled cavity polariton system and show that the correlation functions and...

We study the coherence and fluorescence properties of the coherently pumped and dissipative Jaynes-Cummings-Hubbard model describing polaritons in a coupled-cavity array. At weak hopping we find strong signatures of photon blockade similar to single-cavity systems. At strong hopping the state of the photons in the array depends on its size. While the photon blockade persists in a dimer consisti...

In this paper two linear arrays including a linear 1×4 and a planar 2×2 of microstrip patch and half-mode substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) cavity hybrid antenna are introduced and investigated. These are simply implemented using low cost single layer printed circuit board (PCB) process. The array element consists of a rectangular microstrip patch with appropriate dimensions in the vicinity ...

A pronounced high count rate of single-photon emission at the wavelength of 1.3 μm that is capable of fiber-based quantum communication from InAs/GaAs bilayer quantum dots coupled with a micropillar (diameter ~3 μm) cavity of distributed Bragg reflectors was investigated, whose photon extraction efficiency has achieved 3.3%. Cavity mode and Purcell enhancement have been observed clearly in micr...
