چکیده
This paper presents an interactive technique for changing the illumination of objects in a real photograph. 1 Because lighting effects are very sensitive to surface normal perturbations but hard to automatically analyze, we rely on a pen-based interface to quickly draw an approximate normal map over a photo. The photo and the approximate normal map are then given as input to a novel algorithm that refines the map and assigns reflectance to every pixel. We present relighting results for a variety of scenes, and use our technique to match the illumination of multiple pho-

Real Time Relighting with Dynamic Light Environment Using an RGB-D Camera
Relighting techniques often require knowledge about the shape and the reflectance property of a target object and the light environment. The quality of the relighting is highly dependent on the normals accuracy of the object since they are used for the computation of the illumination. We propose a new relighting approach for arbitrary shaped objects with dynamic light environment using an RGB-D...
متن کاملSparse Lumigraph Relighting by Illumination and Reflectance Estimation from Multi-View Images (sketch 0335)
We present a novel image-based modeling technique which allows simultaneous estimation of illumination, diffuse, and specular albedo maps using only object geometry and multi-view images captured under a single, unknown illumination setting.
متن کاملIllumination Estimation and Relighting using an RGB-D Camera
In this paper, we propose a relighting system combined with an illumination estimation method using RGBD camera. Relighting techniques can achieve the photometric registration of composite images. They often need illumination environments of the scene which include a target object and the background scene. Some relighting methods obtain the illumination environments beforehand. In this case, th...
متن کاملAll-Frequency Relighting of Non-Diffuse Objects using Separable BRDF Approximation
This paper presents a technique, based on pre-computed light transport and separable BRDF approximation, for interactive rendering of non-diffuse objects under all-frequency environment illumination. Existing techniques using spherical harmonics to represent environment maps and transport functions are limited to low-frequency light transport effects. Non-linear wavelet lighting approximation i...
متن کاملRelighting of Dynamic Video
We present a novel method to relight video sequences for multimedia applications given known surface shape and original illumination. The method preserves fine visual details. It requires single view video frames, approximate 3D shape and known illumination only, making it applicable for multimedia and studio production. The technique is demonstrated for relighting video sequences of faces. Ind...
