چکیده

We investigate optimality conditions for optimization problems constrained by a class of variational inequalities of the second kind. Based on a nonsmooth primal-dual reformulation of the governing inequality, the differentiability of the solution map is studied. Directional differentiability is proved both for finite-dimensional and function space problems, under suitable assumptions on the active set. A characterization of Band strong stationary optimal solutions is obtained thereafter. Finally, based on the obtained first-order information, a trust-region algorithm is proposed for the solution of the optimization problems.

Sequential Optimality Conditions and Variational Inequalities

In recent years, sequential optimality conditions are frequently used for convergence of iterative methods to solve nonlinear constrained optimization problems. The sequential optimality conditions do not require any of the constraint qualications. In this paper, We present the necessary sequential complementary approximate Karush Kuhn Tucker (CAKKT) condition for a point to be a solution of a ...

Convergence of optimal control problems governed by second kind parabolic variational inequalities

We consider a family of optimal control problems where the control variable is given by a boundary condition of Neumann type. This family is governed by parabolic variational inequalities of the second kind. We prove the strong convergence of the optimal controls and state systems associated to this family to a similar optimal control problem. This work solves the open problem left by the autho...

Vector Optimization Problems and Generalized Vector Variational-Like Inequalities

In this paper, some properties of  pseudoinvex functions, defined by means of  limiting subdifferential, are discussed. Furthermore, the Minty vector variational-like inequality,  the Stampacchia vector variational-like inequality, and the  weak formulations of these two inequalities  defined by means of limiting subdifferential are studied. Moreover, some relationships  between the vector vari...

On Existence, Uniqueness, and Convergence of Optimal Control Problems Governed by Parabolic Variational Inequalities

I) We consider a system governed by a free boundary problem with Tresca condition on a part of the boundary of a material domain with a source term g through a parabolic variational inequality of the second kind. We prove the existence and uniqueness results to a family of distributed optimal control problems over g for each parameter h > 0, associated to the Newton law (Robin boundary conditio...
