An Ontology for Mobile Situation Oriented Systems

چکیده

Highly mobile people (HMPs), such as international executives, airline crew, international sportspersons and independent travellers require flexible, reactive service delivery due to their regularly changing location and activities and the lack of a wired network connection. A mobile service delivery system should be able to detect relevant events such as change of location, sales opportunities and safety issues and then reactively take action in response to those events. This paper describes a generic mobile situation management ontology that was developed in the Ontology Language for the World Wide Web (OWL) using the ontology development tool, Protégé. This ontology can be used as the basis for the development mobile situation oriented service applications.

An Executive Approach Based On the Production of Fuzzy Ontology Using the Semantic Web Rule Language Method (SWRL)

Today, the need to deal with ambiguous information in semantic web languages is increasing. Ontology is an important part of the W3C standards for the semantic web, used to define a conceptual standard vocabulary for the exchange of data between systems, the provision of reusable databases, and the facilitation of collaboration across multiple systems. However, classical ontology is not enough ...

Multidimensional Ontology Model to Support Context-aware Systems

Mobile computing is rapidly gaining importance because there is an incremental daily demand for information access from anywhere and at any time with multiple purposes. This situation gives rise to the new era of computing called Ubiquitous Computing, where it is necessary to develop new and improved structures for knowledge and information representation and exchange, in order to support the i...

An ontology-based nurse call management system (oNCS) with probabilistic priority assessment

BACKGROUND The current, place-oriented nurse call systems are very static. A patient can only make calls with a button which is fixed to a wall of a room. Moreover, the system does not take into account various factors specific to a situation. In the future, there will be an evolution to a mobile button for each patient so that they can walk around freely and still make calls. The system would ...

Classification-based Situational Reasoning for Task-oriented Mobile Service Recommendation

We study the case of integrating situational reasoning into a mobile service recommendation system. Since mobile Internet services are rapidly proliferating, finding and using appropriate services requires profound service descriptions. As a consequence, for average mobile users it is nowadays virtually impossible to find the most appropriate service among the many offered. To overcome these di...

POVOO – Process Oriented Views On Ontologies

Ontologies still lack of including and considering the dynamic aspects of business processes. Therefore existing ontology-based information systems provide only static information which does not suit the actual working context of a user. In this project we extend information retrieval techniques with ontologies through a Process Oriented View On Ontologies (POVOO). The purpose is to satisfy a u...
