The relationship between pulse volume and blood flow in the finger.

چکیده
Accurate measurement of digital blood flow by plethysmography requires considerable attention to technical detail. Determination of digital pulse volume, on the other hand, is less difficult, and there are many sensing and recording devices available for this.1-5 In order to use pulse volume measurement as a routine laboratory procedure in the differential diagnosis of digital ischemia, however, it is necessary to know the correlation between pulse volume and flow in both the normal and the diseased finger under differing states of vasomotor tone. Investigation of this problem has been limited. 6, 7

Continuous and Cuffless Blood Pressure Monitoring Based on ECG and SpO2 Signals By Using Microsoft Visual C Sharp
Background: One of the main problems especially in operating room and monitoring devices is measurement of Blood Pressure (BP) by sphygmomanometer cuff. Objective: In this study we designed a new method to measure BP changes continuously for detecting information between cuff inflation times by using vital signals in monitoring devices. This will be achieved by extraction of the time difference ...
متن کاملRelationship between some indices of cardiovascular functions and pulse pressure as a predictor index for heart diseases: a case-control study
Background: Pulse pressure has recently been considered as a predictor of coronary heart disease. The difference between systolic and diastolic blood pressure is called pulse pressure. Various factors including increased age, vascular stiffness, stenosis, and hypertension are associated with pulse pressure. The present study, therefore, aimed to investigate the relationship between some cardiov...
متن کاملDesigning and Constructing an Optical System to measure Continuous and Cuffless Blood Pressure Using Two Pulse Signals
Introduction Blood pressure (BP) is one of the important vital signs that need to be monitored for personal healthcare. Arterial blood pressure is estimated from pulse transit time (PTT). This study uses two pulse sensors to get PTT. The aim of this study was to construct an optical system and to monitor blood pressure continuously and without cuff in people with different ages. Materials and M...
متن کاملRelationship between Pedestrians’ Speed, Density and Flow Rate of Crossings through Urban Intersections (Case Study: Rasht Metropolis) (RESEARCH NOTE)
Travels within the city are done in different ways, by vehicle or on foot. Thus, inevitably, a part of the travel is always done on foot. Since intersections as traffic nodes are determinant factor in transportation network capacity, any disruption in them leads to severe reduction in network capacity. Unfortunately, pedestrian behavior has received little attention in Iran. While this is a ver...
متن کاملPulse oximeter plethysmographic waveform changes in awake, spontaneously breathing, hypovolemic volunteers.
BACKGROUND The primary objective of this study was to determine whether alterations in the pulse oximeter waveform characteristics would track progressive reductions in central blood volume. We also assessed whether changes in the pulse oximeter waveform provide an indication of blood loss in the hemorrhaging patient before changes in standard vital signs. METHODS Pulse oximeter data from fin...
