چکیده

To determine the effect of varying degrees of gastritis on the distribution of immunoreactive gastrin cells 38 partial gastrectomy specimens have been studied. Routinely stained histological sections of mucosa were compared with serial and adjacent sections stained by specific immunohistochemistry using peroxidase and fluorescent techniques. While chronic superficial gastritis had no obvious effect, mild atrophic gastritis was associated with an uneven distribution of gastrin cells which became more marked with increasing severity of gastritis. In the region of intestinal metaplasia gastrin cells were almost totally absent. Small numbers of gastrin cells were found within areas of pseudopyloric metaplasia in the fundus,

Cell lineage distribution atlas of the human stomach reveals heterogeneous gland populations in the gastric antrum.

OBJECTIVE The glands of the stomach body and antral mucosa contain a complex compendium of cell lineages. In lower mammals, the distribution of oxyntic glands and antral glands define the anatomical regions within the stomach. We examined in detail the distribution of the full range of cell lineages within the human stomach. DESIGN We determined the distribution of gastric gland cell lineages...

Immunohistochemical identification and localisation of gastrin and somatostatin in endocrine cells of human pyloric gastric mucosa.

The detailed description of the distribution of endocrine cells G and D producing important hormones that regulate activation of other cells in the human stomach may be a valuable source of information for opinions about mucosa changes in different diseases of the alimentary tract. The density and distribution of immunoreactive G and D cells in the pylorus of humans (donors of organs) were eval...

Immunofluorescence studies on the distribution of gastrin cells in different clinical states.

Examination of human gastric biopsies by an indirect immunofluorescence technique using antihuman gastrin confirms the variability in distribution and number of gastrin-secreting (G) cells (Solcia, Vassallo, and Capella, 1969) observed by morphological, cytochemical, and electron microscopical studies. In cases with presumed secondary hypersecretion a profound degree of G-cell hyperplasia is ob...

بررسی ارتباط تغییرات سطح سرمی گاسترین با ریشه کنی هلیکوباکترپیلوری

Background and purpose: H. pylori infection in the stomach is the first major cause of gastritis and peptic ulcer disease and gastric adenocarcinoma and lymphoma (MALT). Evaluation of the infection eradication is important. H. pylori infection is associated with gastric glands dysfunction such as increased serum gastrin and increased secretion of Pepsinogen. In recent years, the measurement ...
