چکیده

The paging signaling overhead is occurred in Paging extensions for Mobile IP(P-MIP) which was proposed to reduce registration signaling overhead of Mobile IP(MIP). And quick paging IP scheme using residence pattern of mobile user(QP-MIP) is proposed to overcome the above inefficiency. To the exact analysis of QP-MIP and P-MIP, the Mobile Node(MN) state transition behavior is modeled and the steady state probability of the MN states is derived using a semi-Markov process approach. The effect of residence timer on the steady state probability is investigated. And we compare the performance of QP-MIP with P-MIP based on session-tomobility ratio.

Applying queuing theory for a reliable integrated location –inventory problem under facility disruption risks

This study considers a reliable location – inventory problem for a supply chain system comprising one supplier, multiple distribution centers (DCs), and multiple retailers in which we determine DCs location, inventory replenishment decisions and assignment retailers to DCs, simultaneously. Each DC is managed through a continuous review (S, Q) inventory policy. For tackling real world conditions...

Use of Mixed-integer Formulations in Predictive Control Algorithms

Most industrial model predictive controllers (MPC) use the traditional two-layer structure developed in the early 1980’s, where the upper layer defines optimal steady-state targets for inputs and outputs, while the lower layer calculates the control moves that drive the system towards these steady-state targets. As a rule, both layers use continuous quadratic programming (QP) formulations to de...

Optimal Design of the Cross-docking in Distribution Networks: Heuristic Solution Approach

A design problem of cross-docking distribution networks is addressed as a new research area in logistics management. This paper presents a new mathematical model for the location of cross-docking facilities and vehicle routing scheduling problems in distribution networks. For this purpose, a two-phase mixed-integer programming (MIP) is formulated. Then, a new heuristic-based simulated annealing...

Optimal Pareto Parametric Analysis of Two Dimensional Steady-State Heat Conduction Problems by MLPG Method

Numerical solutions obtained by the Meshless Local Petrov-Galerkin (MLPG) method are presented for two dimensional steady-state heat conduction problems. The MLPG method is a truly meshless approach, and neither the nodal connectivity nor the background mesh is required for solving the initial-boundary-value problem. The penalty method is adopted to efficiently enforce the essential boundary co...
