چکیده
One of the developments that can lead to a wider usage of grids technologies is grid-enabling of computer algebra systems. Several software packages allow nowadays the remote execution of non-proprietary or legacy codes. The common facilities and limitations of those packages are analyzed here. A pattern is establish in the construction of a grid-enabled version of a computer algebra system, applicable to any legacy code. A case study is done on Maple: the proposed maple2g package allows the connection between the current Maple version and the computational grids based on Globus Toolkit.
