چکیده
Periodontopathogenic bacteria are gram-negative, anaerobic or facultative organisms that exhibit various virulent factors. Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcoitans and organisms belonging to the ‘red complex’ that are P. gingivalis, T. denticola, T. forsythia are secondary colonisers and appear later in biofilm formation [4]. Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans is generally associated with localized aggressive periodontitis (LAP) [5].

Effect of 808nm diode laser irradiation on root canal walls after smear layer removal: A scanning electron microscope study
INTRODUCTION This study was carried out to investigate the effect of 808nm diode laser irradiation on dentinal tubules of root canal wall. MATERIALS AND METHODS Twelve single-rooted teeth were used. After cleaning and shaping with rotary instruments by the crown down technique, the smear layer was removed by alternating irrigation with EDTA and sodium hypochlorite. The teeth were then randoml...
متن کاملBacterial localization and viability assessment in human ex vivo dentinal tubules by fluorescence confocal laser scanning microscopy.
AIM To develop a convenient method for the localization and quantification of live and dead bacteria in human ex vivo mineralized dentinal tubules. METHODOLOGY The roots from human single-rooted teeth (n = 12) were infected with Enterococcus faecalis V583 and either treated with calcium hydroxide paste or left untreated; six control roots were uninoculated and untreated. Following further inc...
متن کاملبررسی مقدماتی اثر لیزر Nd:YAG در مسدود نمودن توبول های عاجی به وسیله میکروسکوپ الکترونی
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of pulsed Nd:YAG laser on the dentin surface by scanning electron microscope (SEM) in order to determine the optimum time and power of radiation to seal the exposed dentinal tubules. Horizontal sections were taken from newly extracted impact third molar teeth. Smear layers from the dentin surfaces were removed by phosphoric acid and all sampl...
متن کاملConfocal laser scanning microscopy study of dentinal tubules in dental caries stained with alizarin red
Alizarin red, confocal laser scanning microscopy, dentinal tubules, human caries. Abstract Dentin morphology and the lesion found in dental caries have been studied for many years. It was first observed under optical microscopy, and later using electron microscopy. Confocal laser scanning microscopy (CLSM) applied with several fluorescent dyes such as alizarin red to see normal dentinal tubules...
متن کاملIn vitro Evaluation of Dentin Surface Irradiated by Neodymium-doped: Yttrium Aluminum Garnet Laser (Nd: YAG) Using Scanning Electron Microscopy
Introdouction: Dentinal hypersensitivity (DH) is one of the most painful chronic problems reported in dental offices. Various methods have been applied for the treatment of DH. However, majority of them are either ineffective or last for a short period of time. It has been reported that lasers, particularly Neodymium- doped: Yttrium Aluminum Garnet laser (Nd: YAG), can be helpful in the treatme...
