Data on fossil fuel availability for Shared Socioeconomic Pathways
نویسندگان
چکیده
The data files contain the assumptions and results for the construction of cumulative availability curves for coal, oil and gas for the five Shared Socioeconomic Pathways. The files include the maximum availability (also known as cumulative extraction cost curves) and the assumptions that are applied to construct the SSPs. The data is differentiated into twenty regions. The resulting cumulative availability curves are plotted and the aggregate data as well as cumulative availability curves are compared across SSPs. The methodology, the data sources and the assumptions are documented in a related article (N. Bauer, J. Hilaire, R.J. Brecha, J. Edmonds, K. Jiang, E. Kriegler, H.-H. Rogner, F. Sferra, 2016) [1] under DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.1016/j.energy.2016.05.088.

Climate Change and Health under the Shared Socioeconomic Pathway Framework
A growing body of literature addresses how climate change is likely to have substantial and generally adverse effects on population health and health systems around the world. These effects are likely to vary within and between countries and, importantly, will vary depending on different socioeconomic development patterns. Transitioning to a more resilient and sustainable world to prepare for a...
متن کاملInvestigating Renewable Energy Potentials in Jordan
Jordan is a developing country with an increasing electric demand and very limited fuel resources. As a result, the majority of Jordan's electric generation is fueled by imported fossil fuels, which greatly stresses the country's economy. While Jordan is incredibly resource poor when it comes to fossil fuels, it does have a vast untapped solar energy potential. Jordan's promising renewable ener...
متن کاملSensitivity analysis of parameters affecting carbon footprint of fossil fuel power plants based on life cycle assessment scenarios
In this study a pseudo comprehensive carbon footprint model for fossil fuel power plants is presented. Parameters which their effects are considered in this study include: plant type, fuel type, fuel transmission type, internal consumption of the plant, degradation, site ambient condition, transmission and distribution losses. Investigating internal consumption, degradation and site ambient con...

Nature's way of dealing with unhealthy conditions is unfortunately not one that compels us to conduct a solvent hygiene on a cash basis. 1919, George Bernard Shaw The Global Unified Meta-model of the BiOsphere (GUMBO) was used to simulate how the socioeconomic conditions specified in the Special Report on Emission Scenarios (SRES) of the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) influenc...
متن کاملValidity of the fossil fuel production outlooks in the IPCC Emission Scenarios
Anthropogenic global warming caused by CO2 emissions is strongly and fundamentally linked to future energy production. The Special Report on Emission Scenarios (SRES) from 2000 contains 40 scenarios for future fossil fuel production and is used by the IPCC to assess future climate change. Previous scenarios were withdrawn after exaggerating one or several trends. This study investigates underly...
