Not Every Flow is Equal: SMART Discrimination in Redundancy
نویسندگان
چکیده
Software-Defined Data Centers (SDDC) extend virtualization, software-defined networking and systems, and middleboxes to provide a better quality of service (QoS). While many network flow routing algorithms exist, most of them fail to adapt to the dynamic nature of the data center and cloud networks and their users’ and enterprise requirements. This paper presents SMART, a SoftwareDefined Networking (SDN) middlebox architecture for reliable transfers. As an architectural enhancement for network flows allocation, routing, and control, SMART ensures timely delivery of flows by diverting them to a less congested path dynamically in the software-defined data center networks. SMART also clones packets of higher priority flows to route in an alternative path, along with the original flow. Hence SMART offers a differentiated QoS through varying levels of redundancy in the flows.

The Role of Different Subject Materials on the Admission of PhD Candidates of Epidemiology, Bacteriology and Parasitology during 2006-2007
Background: Score worksheets have been extracted for PhD candidates in Epidemiology, Microbiology and Parasitology for the academic year of 1386-87. The main objective in this study is the impact and importance of different subjects on the discrimination results of admission. Methods: Extracted scores from worksheets are analyzed by MINITAB15 statistical toolbox. The regression values of differ...
متن کاملAnalysis and Comparison of Load Flow Methods for Distribution Networks Considering Distributed Generation
Conventional passive distribution networks are changing to modern active distribution networks which are not radial. Conventional load flow methods should be modified for new distribution networks analysis. In modern distribution networks distributed generation (DG) units are embedded with conventional and/or renewable resources. DG units are generally modeled as PV or PQ nodes which inject ...
متن کاملDirection dependent prices in public transport: A good idea? The back haul pricing problem for a monopolistic public transport firm
Markets for transport are often characterised by unequal demand in both directions: every morning during peak hours the trains are crowded while moving towards the direction of large cities, whereas they may be almost empty in the other direction. In this paper we discuss the implications of these imbalances for price setting of transport firms. From the viewpoint of economic theory, two regime...
متن کاملVery Fast Load Flow Calculation Using Fast-Decoupled Reactive Power Compensation Method for Radial Active Distribution Networks in Smart Grid Environment Based on Zooming Algorithm
Distribution load flow (DLF) calculation is one of the most important tools in distribution networks. DLF tools must be able to perform fast calculations in real-time studies at the presence of distributed generators (DGs) in a smart grid environment even in conditions of change in the network topology. In this paper, a new method for DLF in radial active distribution networks is proposed. The ...
متن کاملSecurity automaton to mitigate laser-based fault attacks on smart cards
Security and attacks are two sides of the same coin in the smart card industry. Smart cards are prone to different types of attacks to gain access to the assets stored in it and that can cause security issues. It is necessary to identify and exploit these attacks and implement appropriate countermeasures to mitigate their effects. Fault attacks are one among them. They can introduce abnormal be...
