چکیده

We analyse pion–nucleus reactions in a microscopic transport model of the BUU type, which propagates nucleons, pions, deltas and N (1440)-resonances explicitly in space and time. In particular we examine pion absorption and inelastic scattering cross sections for pion kinetic energies T π = 85 − 315M eV and various target masses. In general, the mass–dependence of the experimental data is well described for energies up to the ∆–resonance (≈ 160M eV) while the absorption cross sections are somewhat overestimated for the higher energies. In addition we study the possible dynamical effects of delta– and pion–potentials in the medium on various observables as well as alternative models for the in-medium ∆-width.

The centrality dependence of (multi-)strange hadron abundances is studied for Pb(158AGeV)Pb reactions and compared to p(158GeV)Pb collisions. The microscopic transport model UrQMD is used for this analysis. The predicted Λ/π−, Ξ−/π− and Ω−/π− ratios are enhanced due to rescattering in central Pb-Pb collisions as compared to peripheral Pb-Pb or p-Pb collisions. A reduction of the constituent qua...

Microscopic Combinatorial approach is used to calculate the state and level densities with fixed exciton numbers, in some actinide nuclei. Deformed Saxon-Woods shell model was used as a basis from which all posible configurations were generated. The pairing interaction was taken into account by applying the BCS theory to each configurations. Both the spin and parity distributions were obtained,...

The inclusive K + mesons production in π + –nucleus reactions in the subthreshold energy regime is analyzed with respect to the one–step (π + n → K + Λ) and the two– step (π + n → ηp 1 , ηp 2 → K + Λ) incoherent production processes on the basis of an appropriate folding model, which allows one to take into account the various forms of an internal nucleon momentum distribution as well as on– an...

The question whether there is a pion transparency in 500 MeV C(π, π ′ ) scatterings is studied using a semiclassical, hadronic transport model. The double differential cross sections of this reaction measured at LAMPF can be largely accounted for, if one uses energy-dependent, anisotropic angular distributions which are fitted to pion-nucleon scattering data for the decay of ∆(1232) and N(1440)...

Calculations have been performed for the O(γ,pn) and the O(γ,pp) reaction in the photon-energy range Eγ = 60-300 MeV. Besides the contribution from the more common photoabsorption on the pionic degrees of freedom, we have investigated the influence of heavier meson exchange (ρ, σ, ω) and intermediate ∆ creation with π and ρ exchange. Whereas the π meson is found to set the main trends, the ρ me...
