چکیده

Entangled states are important for quantum cryptography, being used in several protocols of quantum key distribution. These provide an alternative to single-photon-based protocols. Entangled states are also important in fundamental terms, in the way that the behavior of these states is contradictory with the predicted by local theories. This contradiction is shown by the violation of Bell’s inequalities, as the inequality proposed by Clauser, Horne, Shimony and Holt (CHSH). In this work [1] we shown the violation of CHSH inequality using two-particle states. We discussed pure states, an arbitrary state, and the Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger (GHZ) state. Using the spontaneous four-wave mixing process we generated entangled photon pairs in a highly non-linear fiber, and experimentally verified the violation of CHSH inequality.

Entanglement estimation from Bell inequality violation

It is well known that the violation of Bell’s inequality in the form given by Clauser, Horne, Shimony, and Holt (CHSH) in two-qubit systems requires entanglement, but not vice versa, i.e., there are entangled states which do not violate the CHSH inequality. Here we compare some standard entanglement measures with violations of the CHSH inequality (as given by the Horodecki measure) for two-qubi...

Violating Bell's inequality beyond Cirel'son's bound.

Cirel'son inequality states that the absolute value of the combination of quantum correlations appearing in the Clauser-Horne-Shimony-Holt (CHSH) inequality is bound by 2 square root of (2). It is shown that the correlations of two qubits belonging to a three-qubit system can violate the CHSH inequality beyond 2 square root of (2). Such a violation is not in conflict with Cirel'son's inequality...

More nonlocality with less entanglement

Recent numerical investigations [K. Pál and T. Vértesi, Phys. Rev. A 82, 022116 (2010)] suggest that the I3322 inequality, arguably the simplest extremal Bell inequality after the CHSH inequality, has a very rich structure in terms of the entangled states and measurements that maximally violate it. Here we show that for this inequality the maximally entangled state of any dimension achieves the...

Maximal violation of Bell inequalities under local filtering

We investigate the behavior of the maximal violations of the CHSH inequality and Vèrtesi's inequality under the local filtering operations. An analytical method has been presented for general two-qubit systems to compute the maximal violation of the CHSH inequality and the lower bound of the maximal violation of Vértesi's inequality over the local filtering operations. We show by examples that ...

Generation of Narrow-Band Polarization-Entangled Photon Pairs at a Rubidium D1 Line

Using the process of cavity-enhanced spontaneous parametric down-conversion (SPDC), we generate a narrow-band polarization-entangled photon pair resonant on the rubidium (Rb) D1 line (795 nm). The degenerate single-mode photon pair is selected by multiple temperature controlled etalons. The linewidth of generated polarization-entangled photon pairs is 15MHz which matches the typical atomic memo...
