Endovascular repair of thoracic aortic dissection associated with right-sided aortic arch: report of four cases
نویسندگان
چکیده
Aortic dissection involving a right-sided aortic arch (RAA) is extremely rare with an incidence in adults of 0.04% to 0.1%. Thoracic aortic dissection associated with RAA is even a more uncommon and life-threatening condition. For complicated aortic dissection, conventional open surgical repair is considered a standard therapy. However, in such cases, endovascular repair has emerged as the procedure of choice as it is associated with favorable shortand midterm results. In this study, we present our experience with the use of thoracic endovascular aortic repair (TEVAR) technique for treatment of DeBakey III dissection in 4 patients with RAA. All procedures were successfully performed with a Siemens Artis Zeego DSA device.

Endovascular stenting for type B dissection involving a right-sided aortic arch.
Endovascular stent-graft repair is emerging as the treatment of choice for complicated type B aortic dissection. In this report we describe a patient who presented with type B aortic dissection involving a right-sided aortic arch (RAA), a rare congenital vascular anomaly. The initial aggressive medical treatment proved unsuccessful due to false aneurysm expansion. Given the greater complexity o...

Stanford type A acute aortic dissection (AAD) is a very rare complication, with potentially lethal consequences in pregnancy. In fact, pregnancy has been regularly associated with the possibility of aortic. dissection in almost half of young women. Herein, we present the case of a 38-year-old woman in her 37th week of pregnancy. The patient’s medical history was indicative of G4L2Ab1(4 gestaiti...
متن کاملEndovascular repair of a type B aortic dissection with a right-sided aortic arch: case report
Right-sided aortic arch is a rare anomaly, and aortic dissection involving a right-sided aortic arch is extremely rare. We report the case of a 65-year-old man with a right-sided aortic arch and a right descending aortic dissection and a stent-graft was accurately deployed without perioperative complications. There were no any complaints and complications after 18 months follow-up. The CTA demo...
متن کاملHybrid endovascular repair of aneurysmal right-sided aortic arch and Kommerell’s diverticulum using a two-vessel branched stent graft: Case report and review of literature
Right-sided aortic arches are rare, affecting approximately 0.1% of the population. They are a result of abnormal development of the primitive aortic arches and may present later in life with later life with aneurysmal expansion of the aberrant left subclavian artery 'Kommerell's diverticulum'. These can be challenging to treat effectively. We report a rare case presenting with mild dysphagia a...

Congenital anomalies of the great thoracic vessels have been reported in 20% of dogs and cats. In some cases, the vascular ring anomalies remain unrecognized throughout the lifetime of an animal. This report describes a case with an unusual vascular ring anomaly (VRA) that was detected during dissection on a cadaver of an approximately two-year-old male native mixed breed dog. No history of the...
