چکیده
Objective This study was to elucidate the spatio-temporal correlations between the mild and severe enterovirus cases through integrating enterovirus-related three surveillance systems in Taiwan. With these fully understanding epidemiological characteristics, hopefully, we can develop better measures and indicators from mild cases to provide early warning signals and thus minimizing subsequent numbers of severe cases.

Spatio-temporal analysis on enterovirus cases through integrated surveillance in Taiwan
BACKGROUND Severe epidemics of enterovirus have occurred frequently in Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Cambodia, and China, involving cases of pulmonary edema, hemorrhage and encephalitis, and an effective vaccine has not been available. The specific aim of this study was to understand the epidemiological characteristics of mild and severe enterovirus cases through integrated surveillance data. ...

Background: Aseptic meningitis is frequently caused by viral agents, particularly human enterovirus. Several methods of Reverse Transcription PCR(RT-PCR) have recently been introduced and modified for better diagnosis of enteroviral infection in meningitis. This study aimed to determine enteroviruses in patients with suspicion of aseptic meningitis using RT-PCR in the West of I...

(1) Objective: Even with licensed vaccine for enterovirus 71 (EV71) put into market in 2016 in China, hand, foot, and mouth disease (HFMD) is still a threat for children's health in Chongqing. We described the epidemiological characteristics and spatial-temporal patterns of HFMD in Chongqing from 2009 to 2016, in order to provide information and evidence for guiding public health response and i...
متن کاملA Case-control Study on Risk Factors for Severe Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease
