A Study of Appendicectomies in Belfast in 1958

چکیده

Information was obtained from a study of the charts of all patients living within the city boundary who had undergone appendicectomies in Belfast hospitals in 1958-excluding appendicectomies performed incidentally to some other operation. The sources of the cases were all Belfast hospitals at which appendicectomies are normally carried out, with the exception of private wings. Cases were distributed among the Belfast hospitals as follows: Royal Victoria Hospital 376 Belfast City Hospital 161 Mater Infirmorum Hospital 46 Musgrave Park Hospital 34 Ulster Hospital for Women and Children 65 Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children 183
