Blood capillaries of the heart and other organs.

چکیده
T HERE ARE, I believe, a good number of reasons for a renewed interest in problems of capillary permeability. To begin with, it is clear that we are dealing with a basic process in the physiology of metazoa. In these complex organisms, the life of the multitude of cells in the intimacy of tissue depends, in ultimate analysis, on the ample and continuous exchanges that take place across the wall of capillary vessels between the blood plasma on one side, and the interstitial fluid on the other. To continue, many pathologic conditions can be traced back to circulatory disturbances in general, and to variations in capillary permeability in particular, an outstanding example being the inflammatory process. And to finish, the mechanisms involved in the exchange of large quantities of water and solutes across the capillary wall are still poorly understood. Studies on the structural aspects of the problem, carried out over many years by light

Calculation the accumulated dose in the heart and its effect on other human organs by using experimental mouse data and the MCNPX code for FDG
Introduction: The use of ionizing radiation in diagnostic medicine is expanding, and considering the fact that the practical dosimeter in a precise way is almost impossible, the Monte Carlo computational methods help researchers, to have coming up the lowest cost and error of the distribution of doses in the patient's body. Materials and Methods: In this st...
متن کاملMathematical Analysis of MHD Flow of Blood in Very Narrow Capillaries (RESEARCH NOTE)
A mathematical model for blood flow in narrow capillaries under the effect of transverse magnetic field has been investigated. It is assumed that there is a lubricating layer between red blood cells and tube wall. The transient flow of the fit red blood cell surrounded by plasma annulus in the narrow capillary is considered. The analysis of fluid flow between red cell and tube wall, when the ce...
متن کاملMalpighi and the discovery of capillaries.
Leonardo da Vinci clearly observed and described capillaries. Using the microscope, Marcello Malpighi examined the brain and major organs to demonstrate their finer anatomical features. This led to his discovery in 1661, of capillaries that proved fundamental to our understanding of the vascular system in the brain and cord. He hypothesized that capillaries were the connection between arteries ...
متن کاملPhysical and Flow Properties of Blood
The circulatory transport system is responsible for oxygen and nutrient supply to all body tissues and removal of waste products. The discovery of the circulation of blood in the human body is related to William Harvey (1578–1657). The circulatory system consists of the heart—the pump that generates the pressure gradients needed to drive blood to all body tissues, the blood vessels—the delivery...
متن کاملEffects of Silymarin on Growth Performance, Internal Organs and Some Blood Parameters in Japanese Quail Subjected to Oxidative Stress Induced by Carbon Tetrachloride
The effects of Silymarin on growth performance, internal organs, and some blood parameters were investigated in Japanese quail that were subjected to oxidative stress induced by carbon tetrachloride (CCl4). An experiment was conducted as a completely randomized design in a factorial arrangement (2 × 2) with four replicates of 30 birds each. Factors included two levels of Silymarin (0 and 1 mL/k...
متن کاملThe Effects of Artemisia Dracunculus’ Powders Different Levels on Blood Parameters and Internal Organs Weight Broiler Chickens
This study was designed to investigate the effects of different levels of Tarragon powder on performance, carcass characteristics of broiler chickens. Two hundred Ross 308 male broiler chickens were randomly allocated into four treatments and five replicates per treatment. At each replicate ten birds were used. Experimental diets were set on the basis of corn-soy-wheat and Ross 308 broiler chic...
