Zero Waste for geographical education on sustainability

Environmental education is vital for raising awareness of sustainable development. Zero Waste a holistic model that goes beyond waste reduction and recycling, calls reshaping contemporary modes production consumption while also promoting active citizenship awareness. Exploring principles, this article situates demonstrates its alignment with key international documents, such as the United Nations’ 2030 Agenda Sustainable Development. Already used in some educational contexts, has potential to encourage new perspective fundamentally reconsider redesign our relationship what it means be actively more sustainable, through systemic circular approach. We outline how geography sustainability practices can both benefit from, support, dialogue principles.
