X-Vectors: New Quantitative Biomarkers for Early Parkinson's Disease Detection From Speech

چکیده

Many articles have used voice analysis to detect Parkinson's disease (PD), but few focused on the early stages of and gender effect. In this article, we adapted latest speaker recognition system, called x-vectors, in order PD at an stage using analysis. X-vectors are embeddings extracted from Deep Neural Networks (DNNs), which provide robust representations improve when large amounts training data used. Our goal was assess whether, context detection, technique would outperform more standard classifier MFCC-GMM (Mel-Frequency Cepstral Coefficients—Gaussian Mixture Model) and, if so, under conditions. We recorded 221 French speakers (recently diagnosed subjects healthy controls) with a high-quality microphone via telephone network. Men women were analyzed separately precise models possible Several experimental methodological aspects tested analyze their impacts classification performance. assessed impact audio segment durations, augmentation, type dataset for neural network training, kind speech tasks, back-end analyses. provided better performances than text-independent seemed be particularly suited detection (7–15% improvement). This result observed both recording types (high-quality telephone).

Cardiac Biomarkers for Early Detection of Cardiac Involvement in Children with Kawasaki Disease: A Cross-Sectional Study

Background: Kawasaki disease (KD) is one of the most prevalent vasculitis diseases in children and can bring about serious cardiovascular complications. Early detection of cardiac involvement in KD can play an essential role in managing and preventing the cardiac sequels. We aimed to evaluate the applicability and diagnostic accuracy of cardiac biomarkers including car...

I-Vectors for Speech Activity Detection

I-Vectors are low dimensional front-end features known to effectively preserve the total variability of the signal. Motivated by their successful use for several classification problems such as speaker, language and face recognition, this paper introduces i-vectors for the task of speech activity detection (SAD). In contrast to most state-of-the-art SAD methods that operate at the frame or segm...

Ocular biomarkers for early detection of Alzheimer's disease.

Alzheimer's disease (AD) is the most common form of dementia and is clinically characterized by a progressive decline in memory, learning, and executive functions, and neuropathologically characterized by the presence of cerebral amyloid deposits. Despite a century of research, there is still no cure or conclusive premortem diagnosis for the disease. A number of symptom-modifying drugs for AD h...
