Weed Competition Effects on Growth and Yield of Spring-Sown White Lupine

چکیده
White lupine (Lupinus albus L.) is an annual legume that grown for both seeds and green biomass, but several agronomic aspects of this crop, including response to weed competition, have not been studied extensively. Field experiments over two growing seasons (2012 2016) were carried out in Orestiada, Greece, study the growth development spring-sown white under season-long competition from natural flora compared with its without competition. Treatments arranged a randomized complete block design four replications included (i) non-treated (weedy) control, where weeds (Chenopodium album Sorghum halepense) remained plots throughout (ii) weed-free removed upon crop emergence kept free by hand removal. The presence Chenopodium halepense reduced aboveground dry matter accumulation ‘Multitalia’ at 7 weeks after 18.0% first season 29.5% second season, while corresponding decrease 9 was 25.3 33.4%. However, reduction limited lower levels flowering (9.9% 12.8% season). In seasons, values ability withstand (AWC) index than maturity. Seed yields 1.58 Mg per ha weedy conditions 2.20 1.59 2.32 ha, respectively, season. relative yield loss (RYL) seed 28.2% 31.5% Overall, significantly affected occurrence mostly early vegetative stages, resulting potential being achieved due Future research on across sites years would be useful define more clearly critical period control lupine.

Effects of Nitrogen and Rapeseed Residues on Grain Yield and Yield Components of Sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) and Weed Growth
ABSTRACT- Crop residue is applied to amend soil properties and increase crop yield. In this study, the effects of rapeseed residues and different rates of nitrogen on grain yield and yield components of sunflower and weed dry matter were investigated. The experiment was conducted at the Experimental Farm of College of Agriculture, Shiraz University, located at Badjgah, Shiraz, Iran in 2007-2008...

This study was aimed at analyzing the yield, grain quality and weed infestation of spring triticale sown in 3 tillage systems: a) conventional tillage (CT)-shallow ploughing and harrowing after harvest of the previous crop, ploughing in the autumn; b) reduced tillage (RT)-only cultivator after harvest of the previous crop, and c) no-tillage (NT)-only glyphosate (360 g L-1) after harvest of ...
