Video analysis for tower crane production rate estimation

Construction equipment production rates are considered an influential factor in construction projects’ success as 30–40% of cost overruns attributed to insufficient rates. The tower crane is one the heavy equipment, and its rate has a huge impact on project’s performance. Current estimations sites not backed by universally accepted applicable methodology. However, vision-based technologies have been utilized recently for determining equipment. Therefore, purpose this research develop framework (VRF) with user-friendly interface practical speedy measure actual cycle time sites. software will be developed based eight single object tracking detection free algorithms. Moreover, VFR evaluated measuring cranes’ two case studies Egypt. For each study, five videos were recorded cranes. video was measured using manual inspection VRF. VRF achieved high accuracy studies.
