چکیده
The uncertainty related to measurements is fundamental for qualifying the method applied estimation of quantities derived from an experimental test. In this paper analysis given intrinsic properties fibrous and porous materials, i.e. characteristic impedance wavenumber, measurement data obtained by a four-microphone tube. addition, some other material properties, amongst which flow resistivity. based on principles contained in Guide Expression Uncertainty Measurements (GUM) its supplement 1, concerning propagation distributions using Monte Carlo (MC) method. GUM MC frameworks are compared with each terms accuracy flexibility use. arising process sampling also evaluated testing several samples cut same batch.

Three-microphone probe bias errors for acoustic intensity and specific acoustic impedance.
In acoustic intensity estimation, adding a microphone at the probe center removes errors associated with pressure averaging. Analytical bias errors are presented for a one-dimensional, three-microphone probe for active intensity, reactive intensity, and specific acoustic impedance in a monopole field. Traditional estimation is compared with the Phase and Amplitude Gradient Estimator (PAGE) meth...
متن کاملFrom articulatory to acoustic parameters non-stop
This paper reports an attempt to map the time variations of selected articulatory parameters (from X-ray profiles) directly on the F1, F2 and F3 formant tracks using multiple regression analysis (MRA). The results indicate that MRA can indeed be useful for predicting formant frequencies. Since the results reported here are limited to preliminary observations of F1 only, further studies includin...
متن کاملEstimating Waveguide Model Elements from Acoustic Tube Measurements
One-dimensional digital waveguides are widely used to model traveling pressure waves along wind instrument bores comprised of concatenated cylindrical or conical sections. Waveguide filter elements model frequencydependent losses and delay (dispersion) occurring during propagation and at any boundary or discontinuity producing reflected and transmitted waves. In this work, a technique is descri...
متن کاملAcoustic characterisation of liquid foams with an impedance tube.
Acoustic measurements provide convenient non-invasive means for the characterisation of materials. We show here for the first time how a commercial impedance tube can be used to provide accurate measurements of the velocity and attenuation of acoustic waves in liquid foams, as well as their effective "acoustic" density, over the 0.5-6kHz frequency range. We demonstrate this using two types of l...
متن کاملsimulation of reservoir permeability using porosity and acoustic impedance data
permeability is a key parameter in reservoir characterization. in fact, without accurate information about reservoir permeability, there is no good solution for reservoir engineering problems. up to now, permeability values of a reservoir have been calculated through laboratory measurements or well testing methods. these methods are useful but they cannot describe a reservoir reliably and preci...
