Thermoelectric Generator Using Low-Cost Thermoelectric Modules for Low-Temperature Waste Heat Recovery

One of the most significant problems in industrial processes is loss energy according to sort heat. Thermoelectrics are a promising alternative recovering this type thermal energy, as they can convert heat into electricity, improving efficiency process. This article presents characteristics low-cost thermoelectric modules typically used for generation (SP1848-27145SA (TEG-GEN)) and refrigeration (TEC1-12706 (TEC-REF)), both utilized research recovery. The were evaluated against various configurations, source distances, distributed systems order determine optimal recovery conditions. experiments conducted at laboratory level large-scale furnace traditional ceramics industry, revealed that even suitable recovery, particularly developing countries, whereas other generators more expensive difficult obtain. These tested low-temperature regular furnaces, results be implemented elsewhere. Results show solution many sources, which would strategic countries.
