Thermal Aware Routing Protocols for Wireless Body Area Networks: Review and Open Research Issues

Wireless Body Area Network (WBAN) is a promising technology that improves life quality and enhances medical healthcare services. The activities communications of sensors lead to temperature rise, which can be fatal for the human body. heating problem addressed by thermal-aware strategy, has great importance. This paper reviews sixteen routing protocols proposed WBAN; it presents in WBAN its associated challenges. It explains principles pros cons each protocol compares studied using several criteria. Finally, points out open research issues review intends provide comprehensive, up-to-date reference everyone interested communication WBANs.
