چکیده
The study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of a seed film coating with Origanum vulgare Linnaeus essential oil (EO) against Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. (Cmm) on tomatoes. Tomato seeds (cv. Rio Grande) coated different doses EO derived from O. were inoculated Cmm (1.8 × 108 CFU/mL). vulgare's showed remarkable inhibition effect growth. was determined based parameters, such as zone and bacterial population in seed. GC-MS analysis that carvacrol is major component (at 74.05%), which may inhibit Later, we have expanded our studies determine inhibitory EO's mode action pathogenic bacteria molecular docking protein-ligand interaction. results has strong interaction expansin protein (PDB 4JJO) qPCR analyses confirmed treatment Cmm. This original approach prominent potential prevent transmission for quality world, suggesting method paving way disease management.

A Proteomic Study of Clavibacter Michiganensis Subsp. Michiganensis Culture Supernatants
Clavibacter michiganensis, subsp. michiganensis is a Gram-positive plant pathogen infecting tomato (Solanum lycopersicum). Despite a considerable economic importance due to significant losses of infected plants and fruits, knowledge about virulence factors of C. michiganensis subsp. michiganensis and host-pathogen interactions on a molecular level are rather limited. In the study presented here...

The Gram-positive bacterium Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. michiganensis, causal agent of bacterial wilt and canker of tomato, is an economically devastating pathogen that inflicts considerable damage throughout all major tomato-producing regions. Annual outbreaks continue to occur in New York, where C. michiganensis subsp. michiganensis spreads via infected transplants, trellising stakes, to...
متن کاملLinear plasmid in the genome of Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. sepedonicus.
Contour-clamped homogeneous electric field gel analysis of genomic DNA of the plant pathogen Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. sepedonicus revealed the presence of a previously unreported extrachromosomal element. This new element was demonstrated to be a linear plasmid. Of 11 strains evaluated, all contained either a 90-kb (pCSL1) or a 140-kb (pCSL2) linear plasmid.
متن کاملEvidence for plasmid-encoded virulence factors in the phytopathogenic bacterium Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. michiganensis NCPPB382.
The tomato pathogen Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. michiganensis NCPPB382, which causes bacterial wilt, harbors two plasmids pCM1 (27.5 kb) and pCM2 (72 kb). After curing of the plasmids, bacterial derivatives were still proficient in the ability to colonize the host plant and in the production of exopolysaccharides but exhibited a reduced virulence. When one of the two plasmids is lost, ther...

Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. michiganensis (Cmm) is a Gram-positive seed-transmitted bacterial phytopathogen responsible for substantial economic losses by adversely affecting tomato production worldwide. A high-throughput, cell-based screen was adapted to identify novel small molecule growth inhibitors to serve as leads for future bactericide development. A library of 4,182 compounds known...
