چکیده

Aim: Femoral neck fractures are common injuries in orthopedic practice and result significant morbidity mortality. They the intra-capsule area of proximal femur. usually occur elderly patient group. However, younger age groups could also experience femoral as a high-energy traumas. The aim present study was to compare with literature outcomes adult patients for whom surgical fixation performed after fracture using cannulated screws our clinic.Materials Methods: included between August 2010 2012. Fracture non-union, delayed union, avascular necrosis arthrosis were evaluated patients. Avascular evaluation Ficat Arlet classification. Functional Harris hip score. Results: average follow-up period 32 months (range: 24-48 months). Follow-ups indicated that 16 recovered without problems, walked double wand starting from about third month respect bone union status full achieved an six months. Fixation of Undisplaced Fractures of the Neck of Femur with Multiple Cannulated Screws

Results: Sixteen patients with impacted and undisplaced fracture of the neck of femur were treated with multiple cannulated screws. The mean follow up was 26 months; mean age was 38 years (range 14-58 years). Thirteen/16 patients (81.25%) were satisfied with the excellent results of the treatment. Two patients (12.5%) showed nonunion and valgus osteotomy, compression of the fracture and rigid i...

Comparing Therapeutic Outcomes of Dynamic Hip Screw and Multiple Cannulated Screws as Internal Fixation in Femoral Neck Fractures

Background and purpose: Femoral neck fracture is associated with a high rate of side effects, especially in young people, who are usually affected by severe energy shocks. Results after injury depend on some factors, including displacement, fragility, bleeding rate, proper placement, and stable and strong fixation. The aim of this study was to compare dynamic hip screw (DHS) or multiple cannula...

Prediction of Reoperation of Femoral Neck Fractures Treated With Cannulated Screws in Elderly Patients

BACKGROUND Reoperation of femoral neck fractures in elderly patients is frequent. Our aim was to determine predictors of reoperations following primary internal fixation with 3 cannulated screws. MATERIALS AND METHODS A follow-up study included all patients aged 65+ years old patients consecutively admitted to an orthopedic ward with femoral neck fracture in the period from January 1, 2007, t...
