Surface Corrosion from Implant–Abutment Couplings with Different Connection Designs Influences Osteoblasts’ Function: A Novel Technique

چکیده

The improved peri-implant bone response demonstrated when utilizing the platform-switching concept may result from reduced levels of metal ions released implant–abutment surfaces to surrounding tissues. These corrosion products play a major role in crestal remodeling around dental implants. This study evaluated effect different couplings (platform-matched vs. platform-switched) on osteoblasts’ function. Titanium alloy and cobalt–chrome abutments were coupled with titanium cylinders, forming either platform-switched or platform-matched groups, incubated human osteoblast cultures novel direct-exposure technique. Comparative Evaluation of Surface Roughness of Three Different Composite Resins Following Polishing with a Two-Step Technique

Background and Aim: Nowadays, demand for same–color restorative materials, especially resin composites, is increasing. Access to the smooth surface with minimum level of surface roughness significantly results in more beauty, and the reduction of the accumulation of the plaque, gingival inflammation, and tooth discoloration. the aim of this study was surface roughness of three different composi...

Microstructure and Corrosion Performance of Silica Coatings on Aluminum Surface Prepared by Plasma Electrolysis Technique

Silica phases were precipitated on aluminum surface by potentiostatic plasma electrolysis technique. Aqueous sodium silicate solutions with different concentrations were used for this purpose. SEM, EDS, XRD, surface profiles and polarization curves were used to study coatings properties. The results showed that the growth of the silica containing phases on aluminum surface was promoted by incre...

Development of biodegradable polyesterurethane membranes with different surface morphologies for the culture of osteoblasts.

To evaluate the biocompatibility of biodegradable polyesterurethane membranes with different surface morphologies for their possible use as orthopedic biomaterials, rat osteoblasts were cultured on smooth, sunken, and particulate polyesterurethane membranes. A close interaction between cells and exposed particles on the particulate membranes was found. Cells on the particulate surfaces were wel...

Running Surface Couplings

We discuss the renormalization group improved effective action and running surface couplings in curved spacetime with boundary. Using scalar selfinteracting theory as an example, we study the influence of boundary effects to effective equations of motion in spherical cap and the relevance of surface running couplings to quantum cosmology and symmetry breaking phenomenon. Running surface couplin...
