Superconductivity in type-II Weyl-semimetal WTe<sub>2</sub> induced by a normal metal contact

WT e 2 is a material with rich topological properties: it 2D insulator as monolayer and Weyl-semimetal higher-order in bulk form. Inducing superconductivity materials way to obtain superconductivity, which lays at the foundation for many proposals of fault tolerant quantum computing. Here, we demonstrate emergence interface between normal metal palladium. The has critical temperature about 1.2 K. By studying perpendicular magnetic field, coherence length London penetration depth. These parameters correspond low Fermi velocity high density states level. This hints possible origin due formation flatbands. Furthermore, in-plane field exceeds Pauli limit, suggesting non-trivial nature superconducting state.
