چکیده

Although a large number of intercalation cathode materials for aqueous Zn batteries have been reported, limited capacity precludes achieving higher energy density. Here we develop high-performance battery based on BiSb alloy (Bi0.5Sb0.5) using high-concentrated strong-basic polyelectrolyte. We demonstrate that conversion-dissolution/deposition electrochemical mechanism (BiSb ? Bi + SbO2? SbO3? Bi2O3) through in situ X-ray diffraction (XRD), Raman, and ex-situ photoelectron spectrometry (XPS) characterizations with the help density functional theory calculations. The delivers 512 mAh g?1 at 0.3 Ag?1 superior rate capability 90 even 20 Ag?1, long-term cyclability retentions 184 after 600 cycles 0.5 130 1300 1 Ag?1. Remarkably, temperatures as low ?10 ?20 °C, capacities 210 197 are reserved respectively. Moreover, prepared pouch Zn//BiSb high 303 Wh kg?1BiSb When coupled concentration polyelectrolyte, Zn/BiSb exhibits an excellent performance over wide temperature range (?40 to 40 °C). Our research reveals metal is promising achieve unique alloys can be effective approach stabilize electrodes cycling.

A stable Li-deficient oxide as high-performance cathode for advanced lithium-ion batteries.

Monodisperse Li-deficient Li(0.35)Ni(0.2)Co(0.1)Mn(0.7)O(2-x) spinel single crystals have been prepared for the first time. The Li-deficient oxide surprisingly delivers large reversible capacity (251.3 mA h g(-1)), outstanding cycle life and low median-voltage of 2.7 V in the range of 2.0-4.9 V. Importantly, high median-voltage (4.4 V) and superior rate capability are also obtained from 3.0 to ...

High-thermoelectric performance of nanostructured bismuth antimony telluride bulk alloys.

The dimensionless thermoelectric figure of merit (ZT) in bismuth antimony telluride (BiSbTe) bulk alloys has remained around 1 for more than 50 years. We show that a peak ZT of 1.4 at 100 degrees C can be achieved in a p-type nanocrystalline BiSbTe bulk alloy. These nanocrystalline bulk materials were made by hot pressing nanopowders that were ball-milled from crystalline ingots under inert con...

Reduced graphene oxide as a stable and high-capacity cathode material for Na-ion batteries

We report the feasibility of using reduced graphene oxide (RGO) as a cost-effective and high performance cathode material for sodium-ion batteries (SIBs). Graphene oxide is synthesized by a modified Hummers' method and reduced using a solid-state microwave irradiation method. The RGO electrode delivers an exceptionally stable discharge capacity of 240 mAh g-1 with a stable long cycling up to 10...

Polypyrrole hollow nanospheres: stable cathode materials for sodium-ion batteries.

Hollow polypyrrole (PPy) nanospheres with high sodium storage capacity as cathode materials for Na-ion batteries were reported. PPy hollow nanospheres demonstrated high current rate capacity and good cyclability. It was revealed by electrochemical testing and DFT calculation that the as-prepared PPy hollow nanospheres participate in reversible doping/de-doping reactions.

Co3O4 nanoparticles decorated carbon nanofiber mat as binder-free air-cathode for high performance rechargeable zinc-air batteries.

An efficient, durable and low cost air-cathode is essential for a high performance metal-air battery for practical applications. Herein, we report a composite bifunctional catalyst, Co3O4 nanoparticles-decorated carbon nanofibers (CNFs), working as an efficient air-cathode in high performance rechargeable Zn-air batteries (ZnABs). The particles-on-fibers nanohybrid materials were derived from e...
