Space Efficiency in Contemporary Supertall Residential Buildings

Space efficiency is one of the most important design considerations in any tall building, terms making project viable. This parameter becomes more critical supertall (300 m+) residential towers, to make attractive by offering maximum usage area for dwellers. study analyzed space contemporary buildings. Data was collected from 27 buildings, using a literature survey and case method, examine main architectural structural affecting it. The results this research highlighted that: (1) central core common type parameter; (2) prismatic forms were preferred building forms; (3) frequent use reinforced concrete identified, compared steel composite; (4) system an outriggered frame system; (5) decreased as height increased, which planning played role; (6) when form groups among themselves, no significant difference found between their effects on efficiency, similar valid systems. It believed that will help direct architects implementation projects.
