چکیده

In welding processes, many factors contribute in achieving a required quality of the welds. Those are numerous and they may interact with each other, affecting response parameters such as penetration heat-affected zone (HAZ) size. Some more important while influence others is negligible. To find an optimum factor combination order to maximize minimize HAZ not easy task. This contribution aimed evaluate energy (E) versus current (I) speed (Vw) on volume autogenous tungsten inert gas process. For this purpose, two numerical models proposed. The first considers in-house finite model, second based surface method. A sensitivity analysis proposed model using strategies also performed. addition, determine best-operating conditions, multi-objective optimization problem solved. presented were found provide good concordance terms coefficient determination p-value, indicating its significance. Each (with one or independent variables) represents detailed information about physical process can be used for optimization. demonstrates that affects much stronger than does. Physically, due fact has linear (arc coupling) non-linear (Joule effect pressure gradient) influence, contributes linearly, modulating heat conduction. Finally, it was demonstrated compromise between by addressing context, point C (I = 250 A; Vw 24.8 cm/min) Pareto curve optimal option operation since provides lower relative keeping same higher productivity (welding speed).
